This weekend was action packed. I spent time doing all of the things that I love; Spending time with my son, shopping, taking photos, modeling, sipping wine, and working on my blog. It was amazing. As women, sometimes we have so much on our plate. But, I think we do an amazing job balancing it all. I wanted to give you a glimpse into my life and show you that yes, we can do it all – with a little help of course. I hope you enjoy the adventures…
1. Blog Photoshoot
I am the queen of making ugly faces while taking pictures. I always get caught frowning or giving my RBF (look it up). We shot these photos at Atlantic Station in Atlanta and it was soooo hot. The bugs were everywhere! Despite all of that, I had so much fun shooting photos for my blog. I thoroughly enjoy blogging and to be able to get back to doing what I love has been giving me life.
2. Kid’s Birthday Party
Next, my baby and I attended a birthday party. He had such a good time. It makes me feel warm inside just to see him enjoying life. Isn’t he the cutest?!?! I am so happy that I have a great support system when it comes to raising my son. I wouldn’t have been able to do everything that I did this weekend if it wasn’t for Elijah’s dad and grandmother.
3. Networking with other Bloggers
I am a self-proclaimed introvert who is trying to become a social butterfly. That’s probably never going to happen. But I am making an attempt to do a better job of putting myself out there and networking; I have to if I want my blog to be successful. So with that being said, I decided to start attending more blogger events and networking socials. When Claire Sulmers of Fashion Bomb Daily announced that she was having an event in Atlanta, I knew I had to go. I had an incredible time and I met Rasheeda as well. These ladies gave excellent advice for women who want to become entrepreneurs. It felt great being around like-minded individuals. I can’t wait for my next networking event.
4. Modeling for SewSophistikated.
These photos literally made me smile. I’ve always wanted to be a model but I was very shy and self-conscious so I never pursued that dream. Now, years later, I may not be a supermodel but I am modeling! And I had so much fun shooting with the ladies of SewSophisikated. They made me feel comfortable in front of the camera and the pictures came out great! SewSophistikated has some beautiful, vibrant, perfect fitting pieces that I love. Check out their Etsy shop here.
