Casual Friday: The Perfect Dress for a Summer Cookout

Summer is here and that means plenty of summer cookouts.  With the 4th of July being a few days away, I decided to feature this cute dress! I thought it would be perfect for the cookouts that I’m sure most of us will be attending next week.

I know. I know.  It’s not red, white, or blue.  But it’s okay to wear what you want on the 4th.  I’m sure you won’t get in trouble!

This dress has been an Old Navy staple for the past two or three summers for sure.  I even wore a similar one to my gender reveal during the summer of 2015.

They’ve recreated it a little every year and they’ve added new prints but it continues to be one of my favorites.  I love the fit and flare structure because it allows for a little sexiness and fun.  Plus it hides the pooch!

And it’s yellow! Yellow is trending this summer, and for good reason – look how good it looks against my skin.  I don’t have many yellow pieces in my closet but this dress has me seriously thinking about adding some.

I added my cognac colored fringe sandals from Old Navy, as well as my crossbody from JustFab, to keep my accessories neutral.  This dress has so many pretty colors that a few colorful accessories would go great with it as well.

This is a fun summer dress that I can see myself wearing to many casual events with family and friends.  It’s not too short or too long and it fits perfect!  So I would say it’s a winner!

I may even get a couple more with different prints.  What do you think of this cute little dress?  Will you be getting one?  Let me know in the comments below!
