I obviously can’t get enough of these athleisure pants because I’ve bought about four pairs in the last few months. And I don’t think I’ll be slowing down anytime soon; especially since New York & Company has so many new and fun styles right now.
The reason I love these “sporty chic” pants so much is because they are super comfortable and easy to style. As someone who is constantly on the move, I love pieces that I can just throw on and go. You know, those pieces that you don’t have to put much thought into because they’re that easy to wear.
As I mentioned here, athleisure styled clothes are basically dressed up work out clothes. Like the pair that I’m wearing in this post, they have a sporty, athletic vibe to them; yet, if you add a pair of heels and a cute top, you could totally rock them for an effortlessly chic look.
So today I’m speaking to those women who lead a busy life; whether you’re running a business, a stay at home mom, working a 9 to 5, or a college student running from class to class, athleisure is the new casual.
And guess what that means! You can still look great even when you’re dressed down. Not only that, but all it takes is a change in your top and shoes to turn your dressed down look into the look that I’m wearing in this post.
That’s another great thing about the athleisure trend. As you can see here, here, and here, this trend can also be worn into the office and most social events without anyone feeling like the wearer is under-dressed. It’s this versatility that attracts me and so many others to the athleisure trend.
Cardigan – New York & Company Pants – New York & Company Pumps – BCBGeneration
Now let’s talk about my look. These wide-leg jogger pants are another favorite item of mine from New York & Company. New York & Company has really stepped it up a notch with this trend. They’re offering the track pants in more colors and styles which are displayed in these pants that I’m rocking today. The material is amazingly durable and comfy, and the colors are so vibrant. I knew I had to have these when I saw the pink and black grosgrain racing stripes on the side. Plus, this chic fuchsia cardigan was the perfect match! This look is screaming sporty and sophisticated! What do you think of this trend? Will you be wearing it to your office? Let me know in the comments below! And have a wonderful Friday!

Daniesha another flawless outfit. I really do love you in athletics pants, you just add a pair of heels and a cardigan and make it work effortlessly! I think you could wear this outfit maybe on a casual Friday or to a PTA meeting. Thank you so much for sharing this awesome post. I can’t wait for next week’s posts!

I love New York & Company, and I love how you are rocking these pants. I don’t know how I feel about them though. They look super comfortable, but I don’t think I would be able to get over the fact that they look like athletic pants to me. Maybe if it didn’t have that stripe down the side, I would be more happy to buy a pair!

I wish I could do the athleisure trend at work, but the whole man in sweatpants thing tends to go over poorly in a professional setting. But I’d be so much more comfortable.

I understand that. This is one of those trends that may or may not work at some workplaces; especially for men.

I personally love the trend! If you can have chic AND comfy, why would you not at least want to give them a try?? I’ll definitely be checking out options on New York & Co soon. 🙂 Great post!
