My Current Obsession: Black Patent Leather Boots

I’m not usually into the latest trends, but I must admit that I’m loving all of the boot trends this season; particularly the “shiny” boots.  It’s interesting that this type of boot used to be closely associated with “women of the night” (think “Pretty Woman”).  But I’ve seen them worn in a very classy and stylish way.  So, I guess that’s why I decided that I would give them a try myself.

There are so many versions of this boot, which means that there are a multitude of ways that you can style them.  They can be dressed up with a cute, mini fit and flair dress, a midi length sweater dress, or even a pair of jeans and a cute top like I did today.  I’ve seen a few pair that can be worn to the office.

I honestly didn’t know how I would style these over the knee boots that I purchased from Shoedazzle.  But I knew that I would keep it as simple as possible.  I loved how they looked with a basic pair of jeans and top.  However, I know that I want to dress them up in the future as well. So, look forward to that later on the blog.  Here are a few of my favorite “shiny” boots that are really trending right now.
