I think it’s safe to say that I love black.  I mean, it’s the color that makes me feel the most comfortable, the sexiest, and the most stylish.  If ever I have no idea what to wear to an event or any other occasion, I go with black because I know without a doubt, I’m going to look great in it.

Recently, I’ve gained a new love for another big trend: Plaid. Or check print, as some may call it.  I think it stems from that blazer that I purchased from Target a few months ago.  Since then, every time I see plaid pieces, whether it’s a pair of pants, a pair of shorts, or a coat, I want it.

In my opinion, plaid makes an outfit look just a little more put together and sophisticated.  I’ve worn it to the office with a pair of dress pants, and also with a pair jeans!  And both ways have looked equally chic.

As you can see here, I found this adorable cropped romper in that exact print.  I actually purchased this romper during the summer.  But, I didn’t like how the top portion of the romper fit.  So I just tossed it in the back of my closet.

But, I pulled it out the other day and decided to add this black long sleeved bodysuit (my black turtleneck would have worked better though) and these black Steve Madden booties.  Now, it’s more winter appropriate.
