Back in the 80’s and 90’s, there was this big trend called the fanny pack. It was mostly worn by moms who didn’t have the luxury of carrying around a big bag while they were out and about looking after their little ones. It was considered “old-fashioned” from what I remember. But, as a mom living in the 21st century, I can see the convenience of having one nowadays.
Today, fanny packs are popping back up on a lot of runways and style blogs. Only, this time around, they’re very sleek and extremely fashionable. My favorite ones are of faux leather material with gold hardware.
Initially, I wasn’t drawn to the trend. But, when I saw this little bag at Zara, I thought why not give it a try. The fanny pack that I’m wearing is very simple, so it fit’s very well with my personal style.
Though, I bought this one a while ago, and I loved it, I still couldn’t figure out how to style it. I tried it many ways, but what worked was just keeping it very simple. Simplicity always works!
I found a few more that I love (10 to be exact). Some are very simple, others have a little more detail to them. But, they’re all very lovely!!! Check them out below!

God, I feel so old Daniesha! Seriously, it’s hilarious to see trends from when I was growing up come back again. But you know that old saying, “What’s old is new again!” I personally love a good fanny pack, I tend to only wear them when I’m exercising or doing chores (because I like them to hold my phone as I listen to music and/or podcasts). I love this really chic take on a fanny pack and i would totally wear that around with zero shame.

Yes to those fanny packs! Plus, love that they are not so bulky.
