A Cool Way to Style the Paperbag Waist Trousers

Good morning family! I hope you’re having an amazing morning after all of the holiday festivities! I’m back to work myself, and I’m trying to get back into the normal workflow.  This past weekend, I had the opportunity to shoot a few of my favorite looks for the blog.  This was one of them.

This look was actually inspired by someone else’s style who I love.  A couple weeks ago, while doing my typical Instagram scroll, I discovered Erin Foster on Rachel Zoe’s IG page.  I so loved the outfit she was rocking that I knew I had to create my own version of it.

I love khaki pants, but I’ve never seen any like the pair that I’m wearing.  They are extremely wide-legged and they’re cropped at the perfect length.  And not to mention, they’re high waist.  I fell in love with them as soon as I put them on.

So, typically when I wear khaki pants, I pair them with a white, beige, tan, or off-white top.  But what I really loved about Erin’s look is that she added some pops of color.  She wore this lovely multi colored striped top and a pair of bold yellow pumps!!!

I had to find a multi-colored striped top of my own, so I searched those exact words on Google.  I found this super cute and fun off-the-shoulder crop top from Fashion Nova.  Once again, I loved it!

I tried to find a pair of yellow heels, but the one’s I ordered turned out to be too small.  No worries – I threw on my favorite nude heels from ASOS (you will be seeing these a lot) and my little mustard yellow bag that I bought from Marshall’s a few months ago.

My heart was fully satisfied with the outcome of these pieces pulled together.  What’s even better is that I can bet you that Erin’s outfit was at least five times the cost of mine!  You can look great without spending a bunch of money people!

Y’all, I get so much enjoyment out of putting different looks together.  Especially when they’re a little different from my norm.  This look is definitely one of my favorites.  Probably because of the pops of colors.  I hope you love it too!!!

Speak to you soon!

You look stunning in this outfit. I love the combination of the top and the trousers. I’ve never worn this kind of trousers and I think I should finally try them out. 🙂
