When JORD (pronounced Yode) offered to send me one of their wooden watches to try out and review, I was excited.  I was already pretty familiar with the brand and I knew that their watches were beautiful.

If you don’t know JORD, they design creative and unique wooden watches that are widely appealing to everyone’s style; which is why I jumped at the chance to try out their watches.

So, I went to their website to choose one that I thought would fit my personal style.   Now, y’all already know that my personal style consists of simple, minimal, sleek, and chic pieces.  It only makes sense that I would look for those same qualities in my timepiece.  I wanted a piece that I could wear every day and with about ninety percent of the items in my closet.

I perused JORD’s amazing collection of watches and found so many that I loved.  There were thick bands, thin bands, square faces, rectangular faces, and multiple colors. You can imagine that it was very hard to narrow it down to just one.  Well, as you can see, I chose one that was very befitting!

My package came quickly! I opened it to find a beautiful cedar box that contained an even more beautiful watch, as well as a cleaning cloth, and a 6 month supply of JORD Preserve: a custom-formulated wood treatment gel with applicator pen.  JORD does not skimp on presentation.

The watch that I’m wearing is from the Cassia Series.  The Cassia Series gave me that exact luxurious, minimal, and classic look that I was searching for.  There were four options to choose from in this series.  And me being me, I chose the black (Ebony and Sable) version.  Can I just say that I absolutely love this watch!

It’s very feminine and it fits my wrist perfectly.  And because it’s black and extremely versatile, I’ve paired it with every outfit I’ve worn this week!

Now, let’s just talk about some of the features of this piece.  As far as durability is concerned, I can tell by the thickness and amazing craftsmanship that this piece will definitely stand the test of time.  And though I don’t swim in jewelry or accessories, I must note that this watch is not waterproof. So, please beware. Another great feature that I noticed is that there is no ticking sound to annoy the heck out of you.  It’s a quiet piece.

This watch can be styled with most casual, everyday looks which is why I love it.  No, I wouldn’t wear it to a gala. Yes, I have worn and will wear it to work with my favorite pair of jeans and cozy sweater to create the perfect Fall outfit.
