Towards the end of 2018/beginning of 2019, everyone started declaring what their “word of the year” was going to be.  I heard words like, consistency, focus, balance, and plenty others.  Jumping on the IG bandwagon, I decided that I would come up with my own word for the year as well.

If you’ve read any of my old blog posts, then you can probably guess what word I chose.  It’s the one huge thing that I struggle with the most – CONSISTENCY.  As I thought about it more and more, I concluded that Consistency wasn’t good enough; The truth of the matter is, I am consistent.  I’m consistent at being inconsistent.  One word wasn’t going to be enough for me.  A phrase would suffice.  For me, it’s not just about being consistent, it’s about consistently following through.

This year, I will not commit to anything or agree to anything if I don’t intend to follow through with it.

My phrase for 2019 is “Follow Through, Consistently”.
