I don’t know if you have noticed, but I’ve been rocking a lot of bold stripes lately (see here)! It’s like I’m drawn to this print right now! And I guess it makes sense because, the print is right on trend for the summer! From major celebrities, to IG models and everyday people, I’ve seen multitudes of people styling this trend to the extreme. It’s the perfect way to make a bold statement.
Now, the question for us more “modest” people is, how do you wear such a bold and vibrant statement piece without feeling extra “showy”? Well, I will tell you! As you can see with my ensemble today, I chose this bright, bold, and colorful blouse from New York & Company. Naturally, I kept my bottoms a simple, solid color. And I added a pop of color with this simple and chic structured satchel purse from Target to complete the look. Notice also that I kept my accessories minimal as well. The truth of the matter is, when you have such a vibrant statement piece, you don’t need to do much else with the rest of your outfit. Keep it simple!
Also, I love that fashion is fun and carefree (at least, it should be). So have fun y’all! Don’t overthink it! Add some bold pieces to your closet and wear whatever makes you feel confident and chic!
